my heart) Barbara got the news that no parent

wants to hear: Her 25 year old daughter Allyson was diagnosed with a rare

but there type of cancer:Small Cell Cervical Cancer.

Allyson is an amazing young woman. She is intelligent, talented,
accomplished, funny,

compassionate and beautiful. She loves the Knicks, Rascal Flatts, her

parents, her sister, her chocolate lab, KONA and her boyfriend Todd, (NOT

necessarily in that order!) She did her undergrad work at St. Johns

University and loved living in the New York City area and enjoying all

that that life had to offer.

When the first diagnosis was given, Allyson had just received her Master’s

degree in Speech Pathology CW Post College in

Brookville, NY. She had easily gotten and accepted a position in her

chosen field and literally the week she was supposed to start her new

life, she was diagnosed.

For many of us, this is an all too familiar story. What is uncommon, is

the amazing grace, charm, humor and high emotional clarity that Allyson

has shown through this whole ordeal. She is positive, She is forward

thinking and she is SURE she will win this battle, as are we.

She is the epitome of a cancer warrior…..

Why am I at your doorstep??? Her mother (an early ed teacher) will soon run
out of sick days at her district, the district has gone above and beyond in
generosity, but, they too have budgets to adhere to. She used her family sick leave last school year, and Allyson
needs one on one care at this point. Her mom has no choice but to stay by her
daughters side.

As you may imagine, the out of pocket expenses are enormous, and the income
is about to end.

A plea for help….

I know this isn’t the first time that I have asked, you have no idea how I pray it is the LAST time I will need to go out into the Universe and beg for assistance. Allyson, a small cell cervical cancer warrior is fighting hard, she has had major unexpected set backs in her recovery, and healing. She is now in the hospital ONCE again, and with her compromised immune system, and lack of rooms, her family has been forced into securing her a private room, that the insurance company will not cover. My girl and her family needs us now more than ever before. There have been so many of you that have been incredibly generous, and I know there are so many of you out there, that have meant to send the dollar but just haven’t, or meant to FORWARD this email, but also, life got in the way. I am asking you now. Please don’t let life get in the way of allowing Allyson the care and comfort that she deserves. Again, I am asking for a SINGLE dollar, and for each person who gets this to forward it to at least ten people. I know you can all do the math! MY Allyson: a young woman who just graduated from C.W Post Long Island NY with her Masters in speech Pathology, she was on the cusp of starting her new job, when stricken with life changing news………….. I KNOW EVERYONE HAS HEART BREAK, I am asking for a moment of your time, a bit of humanity, and (most importantly, your true friends to help us) Dear friends, and friends of friends, (PLEASE AT LEAST READ IT, I am asking you from the bottom of my heart) My CLOSEST friend in the world is Fighting for her daughters life. get through her first rounds of chemo and radiation at Sloan Kettering.
After a grueling few months, the petscan showed a low level of metastatic
reaction, meaning that there were now spots on Allyson’s liver.

Allyson is an amazing young woman. She has what I like to refer to as all
oars in the water: She is intelligent, talented, accomplished, funny,
compassionate and beautiful. She loves the Knicks, Rascal Flatts, her
parents, her sister, her chocolate lab, KONA and her boyfriend Todd, (NOT

Her second round of treatments are being given in New York City. She has
found an amazing doctor who is treating her both with traditional anti -
cancer drugs and an holistic approach which includes a large daily and
very expensive supplement/vitamin regimen.

At this point, her metastases are static, meaning they
have not grown and we continue to fill our hearts and minds with HOPE.

Why I am at your doorstep: Her supplements cost about three thousand
dollars a month, which insurance doesn’t cover. She has a family who has
and will continue to go to the ENDS of the EARTH to find a cure for her.
As you may imagine, the out of pocket expenses are enormous and the family
has received help from their generous communities in both Long Island and
in Sullivan County, NY, but the money is going out faster than it is
coming in.

Come work for me, have a blast, get great pay, work as little or as much as you want. Most people will pay in cash or checks, so you will actually be paid DAY OF PARTY. You will be paying me my commission, not the other way around. Whats to lose? Items have a 100% markup, you will make 70% of profit, I will make 30%. Example. You sell a vibrator for $70.00, profit is $35.00. Your commission will be $24.50. Did this make national Headlines? NO. Did it make it to the ever ready CNN? NO. Is it even true? I don’t know. All I do know, is that the thought of this, even if it is a horrible rumor is enough to shake me to my core. For those of you who may have missed this deplorable article, please refer to ….well, what do you know? As I left here to get you the address to read the article which was originally in The Daily Beast, is now on ABC News website. Added 34 minutes ago. Direct quote, “The national security adviser for former President Jimmy Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, gave an interview to The Daily Beast in which he suggested President Obama should make it clear to Israel that if they attempt to attack Iran’s nuclear weapons sites the U.S. Air Force will stop them.”

The security advisor to the former President Jimmy (I am now certifiable) Carter is hoping to advise Obama? How convenient. Carter in my opinion has completely lost his mind, should be put away somewhere (for OUR safety), my choice would be Syria…but thats just a personal opinion, this person is now making suggestions to the most PRO Muslim president the USA has ever had to shoot down Israeli Jets…to protect Iran? The very country who has over and over again pledged the annihilation of Israel, and burns the USA flag at any chance of a camera on them? When did we decide to PROTECT Iran, and actually THREATEN our closest ally in the world? I am pleading with whomever reads this blog, to pick up your pens, your phones, get on your keyboards…write the WHITEHOUSE. If he (President Obama) is perhaps not in a tv studio, he will get these letters of disgust. Enough is enough. Let him go on TV, his favorite place to be anyway, and say LOUD AND CLEAR that this will NEVER be a cause for concern. That he would NEVER even contemplate such a heinous action. On this holiday of Rosh Hashana, this is not the news we need to hear. Jimmy Carter, and Zbig Brzezinski need to go find a body of water, and throw their crumbs in NOW.

A New Job, A New Life, A New Beginning

I have thought about this for a long time, giving it much thought and consideration. I became a Brown Bag Party rep early this year. I have had much success with the parties, but having a full time job, being a full time single mom and in general just not having enough time in each day, I have not been as successful as I would have liked to be in the recruiting area of new reps. I am well aware of those who recruit like crazy, and have over a hundred reps on their teams.

I have come up with a new idea for taking this business to new heights. I know many people just don’t have the extra money to buy into new businesses at the moment. I understand that there are many who just are not interested in taking any risks or making an investment in a venture that might not be a perfect fit. Maybe you have had a not great experience with past business attempts.

I now have a solution that I think will rock this industry. Instead of you purchasing the kit, and becoming a rep on your own. I am hiring people who would be interested in an adult business, which is social, fun and very profitable with NO or LITTLE INVESTMENT on your behalf. You would do the parties, and I will pay you 70% of your NET. Example: You have a party (or your hostess) has a party. That party grosses $500.00 (which is a very conservative number) the net on that party is $250.00 of which you will KEEP $175.00. Most people pay you the night/day of the party. As the order will go through me, I will be able to see exactly what the party did. If you were paid in checks or cash, you will actually PAY me the 30% (or $75.00). The hostess will get 20% in hostess rewards that will go towards any items she purchases. The party must be at least $250.00 in gross sales for her to get her award. (very easily done!!) There is NO OUT OF POCKET expenses for you for her rewards. You can do a catalog only party, or if you choose to have samples available, I will provide them to you at my cost. That would be your only investment. And, that is not even NECESSARY. It is suggested…. as people do like to see the products. But, many companies sell out of catalogs only. Look at Mary Kaye, or Avon!! If you wish to have samples, I would suggest a couple lubes, one or two vibrators, and some other low end items. At the most you would be investing approx. $100.00. (of course you can sell them right at the party, and then replace with your profits.) I will be paying all the monthly fees, all the credit card processing fees. This is a real job, not internet pipe dreams, or ad sense, word clicks, or any of the other pie in the sky money making scams that are out there. This is the old fashioned way of making a living. A real job. Nuts and bolts. You have a REAL product to sell, and real customers to BUY. If you have any question about how home parties are going, watch the news. They are consistently in the news, both Adult parties, the Lia Sophias of the world, Pampered Chef, etc. Brown Bag Party is without a doubt the “Cadillac” of home sensual parties. The products are very high quality, the pricing is extremely competitive and they have a cutting edge online presence. With text messages for new recruits, party postings, etc. There are always parties being posted all over the USA, as I am in NY there is no way that I can make it to Arizona to get that party. With employees all over the country we could get in on all these parties and profits that are available.

I am really excited about this, and plan on making lilatoy a national presence. So what we would be embarking on is a business inside a business. Pride without Prejudice

Tis the season once again to let the rainbow flag fly in all its glory. Pride marches are held across the USA this week, and its a week that swells my heart. With heads held high, arm in arm we watch people who are out en masse with the ones they love.

What thrills me about this day, (here in NY) is that we look forward to it, as I look forward to Israel Day parade, St Patricks Day and Thanksgiving. It is a day that is not only fun, exciting, but tens of thousands of people who are participating both from inside the “club” and supporters of the “club”.

The first March was held in 1970, and allegedly will be considered a March and not a parade until there is full and equal rights for all, according to the LGBT community. Hasn’t that day come already? How is it that we have now elected a black man president, we have seen destruction of a massive proportion on our soil, we have waged war against countries that have commited genocide and lack of equal rights towards their citizens, yet full rights to love is still eluded here in the very country that was built upon EQUAL RIGHTS?

Have we still not learned from earlier mistakes. We are ashamed of our slavery history, our imprisoning of Japanese Americans are never spoken of, and here we are, still withholding basic human rights to our citizens to marry and live a loving life with the partner of their choice.

It is a no brainer. If I can marry, then so should my neighbor. The constituion has no words that carry a message of same sex marriage. Those who oppose this celebration of life and love due to an arbitrary portion of a bible written by story tellers, are inflicting their self imposed rules upon those of others. This is the fortieth anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which started the Gay rights movement in NYC. Let this be the last year that this will be known as a March, and starting in 2010 let it be called a PARADE. Come out, straight or gay, show your support and call upon your representatives that the time has come for true EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL. The only people who should be in a closet, are those that have an issue with same sex marriages.

Let the rainbow flags fly with pride and right next to the flag of the USA. For this is who we really should strive to be. Land of the FREE, home of the BRAVE.

This blog was originally posted on June 27th, but I thought it was worth repeating with election day drawing so near (once again…) VOTE YES ON SAME SEX MARRIAGE. Although wording is somewhat confusing…(on purpose???) Just keep in mind, whichever State you are in, FIGHT FOR THOSE who only wish to love whom they love. If it is on your ballot in your state, its your TURN to take a stand. Your voice is heard by a simple click on a lever. If it isn’t on your ballot, write to your legistlaturs, congressmen, and Senators. TODAY. Time is UP. Make the next MARCH a PARADE!!!! As it deserves to be.

Lila Tov with Lila Toy

I know, it might be a little corny…but when trying to come up with my business’s name, it had to be hebrew, and it had to be cute. Those were my pre-requisites. I had a lot of well meaning friends helping me, but the truth is, when you get it, you know it. After three weeks of batting around all kinds of possibly cleverer, more sophisticated, or just more fun names, Lila Toy was the one that stuck in “gut”. While talking to my partner who lives in Israel, I went to say good night to her, in hebrew it is Lila Tov, and kidding around I said Lila Toy. What do you know, a NAME is born.

While laughing about this, I realized, isn’t that how we basically do everything that is important to us. How many months do we think of babies name, or what car we will buy, the home we will own? When you see it, hear it, taste it…you just KNOW. It was most important to me to be PRO ZIONIST, pro Israeli, and totally and completely open and honest regarding sexuality amongst Orthodox women. It has taken some time to build this relationship. Countless emails to Rabbis, (some answered, most did not….) Sex Therapist that are themselves Orthodox, and honest talks with the women themselves. The more I spoke to my clients of choice, assuming I would be teaching them more about my products, the safety factor, the pleasure factor…the more I learned.

What started out as a smart business niche, has changed my entire world. Religion always was important to me. I grew up in a secular home where being Jewish was just what we were. It didn’t have a PLACE of its own…I was the only one who took it to heart. I placed an incredible amount of self in it. I am fairly convinced that I came into this world as a card carrying zionist waving the Israeli flag. What ended up happening while building these relationships is I have taken Religion to a whole new level within myself. The teacher was TAUGHT. Now, not only do I have my client base that is growing daily, new friends who are wonderful, but I now have a deeper level of meaning and peace inside myself. How blessed I have been.

Meanwhile, back to what this short blog was about. A name is a name is a name. But for every soul out there, remember, much time and heart went into that name. Respect the name, and the person. Within that respect you will have it come back ten fold.

In a Sea of Get Rich Quick Tweets…

Minute after minute there appears another url promising riches, thousands of followers, and yet another way to beat the system Please don’t misunderstand, I am addicted to twitter just as much as the next tweeter…that being said, even though its 2009, there are still ways of making an honest, fun and profitable living without pushing a million new ways of getting ten thousand followers. To me the most interesting tweets are those that actually teach me something, invite a discussion or debate. Those who aggitate me with ideals that are so far from my own are my reason for “tweeting”. Debating the cause of what I call “Displaced Jordanians” with those who are ANTI Israel, is what truly makes me keep going back. Who else am I going to debate this with on a minute to minute basis. People who are in what I call my physical reality, are sick to death of hearing about it. These faceless adversaries online give me the perfect platform for discussion. Combine that with the challenge of doing this all in 140 characters or less…well, the dynamics are just to irresistable. Do I advertise my own brick and mortar business on twitter? You bet I do! I have a fantastic business for those who actually want to work, and have control over their lives, their businesses and the growth of said business. Not hoping that a thousand people will click on their link. At this very moment I am watching Internet Millions infomercial on TV. $20,000.00 a week? Snake Oil anyone?? What I do, what I sell, what I try to teach people is that my business, although you will make a supplement income, and if given the hours, a full time income…$20K a week is not going to happen. $800.00 a week, is more like it, doing it part time. Which, for me…is great. If I want to give more time, I make more. I am admitting here, you will NOT be living on a 80 foot yacht in the caribbean within 6 months. Although, you will be paying off your credit cards, your mortgage, and finally start that savings account you have been dreaming of. So, whats the business? It is a quality adult based party business. Its a fun, laughter filled and educational business. Being built with a company who is growing daily, upgrading their business model every month.
